I do not own a gun, but my grandfather taught me how to use one when I was ten. I have respect for those who want to keep a gun. There is a common argument that restricting gun ownership will restrict crime. Give this any thought and it is obviously false and demonstrates a lack of logic that is common to liberal causes. If someone wants to commit armed robbery or murder (a crime) making the gun illegal too will not stop him. The only way this possibly works is to get rid of every gun in the country and stop any illegal guns from entering the U.S. If you think this is feasible I recommend having the tooth fairy as a central part of your retirement plan. A better option is to have a noticeable percentage of the population with concealed weapons carry permits. The thought that whomever you try to rob or kill with your gun might shoot back is a real deterrent.
